I know ehiem pumps are the best but they are priced highly, i hear alot of people talking about the mag pumps, i see a Mag drive 1800 by pondmaster for 129.99, which seems extremely cheap. http://www.thatpetplace.com/pet/prod/206447/i/5/product.web can anyone confrim this is the mag pump everyone gives a good rating or is this a cheaper version pondmaster offers.(i know it sounds crazy but getting a 1800gph pump for this cheap seems wrong)

Mag drive are good pumps. They can be a touch loud, but typically they are quiet enough for most people.

I have used a mag18 and found it to be a decent pump. Difference between a supreme danner and the pondmaster is the length of cord.

Try these guys for pumps : http://www.aquatictech.com/pumps.html

Scroll about midway down for danner pumps, they have the mag18 listed at 121.99. I've used them in the past and they are very dependable.

I run that pump and love it!

wow i just bought a mag 12 and paid 180 for it. But hey it still works because my plan was to run dual mag 12's. But I do have a Danner Mag 7 on one of my smaller tanks and can say their pumps work great.
