between "pressure rated" and "recommended for circulation" ? I just bought an Japanese motor Iwaki 30 for my tank. I was planning on plumbing it through and Ocean Clear module but then read my pump is recommended for circulation only. So, there is my question, is it in the way they are built, like stronger windings in the motor or is it impeller design, maybe gasketing or something else I haven't though of possibly? Other than potential decreased pump life can you think of any other problems I might have with this?

The motors of circulation pumps are not designed to work under loads associate with head heights and what not. Pressure rated pump are meant to push against gravity and piping. They have stronger and more durable motors.

I think the difference in the pressure vs circulation iwakis are the impeller designs but I'm not sure. Either way you have the probably the most reliable and durable pump in this hobby as the I've never heard of a jap motored iwaki failing. I was just at the georgia aquarium and they use iwakis on some of their setups.
