two years ago i made an attempt to get this species brought into the country, they ended up not to be that species at all.

now thanks to the great people at cov, and the great guys in germany from the igv 32 species of victorians were imported from pure stock.

so now i can say this is pundamilia sp red flank. they are swimming and spawning in my tank.

Beautiful fish. I always wondered why you don't see as many people keeping Victorians as apposed to the other two Rift Lakes.

I love your Victorians dude. Wish we could get more here. Only Haplochromis brownae on our import list.

yes mike the availability is the main reason, but actually as far as agression goes with this specis they are fairly docile for a cichlid. and the males of this species can obtain a legnth of 5 inches. big for a victorian.

since your in new zealand, im shure you might be able to get somethig going with your importer, and these guys. we had them ship to the states 32 specis most never kept here before and the results were extrordinary. very happy and marco and axel are very easy to work with.
