Punk won't eat!!!

I have a 2.5 in GT and he just won't eat any of the food I give him! I have tried 3 different kinds but none have worked. I began to starve him to try and get him to eat them but that still didn't work. I noticed he was getting very skinny so I popped some guppies in and instantly he beheaded them. I really don't want to have a constant supply of guppies so how do I get him to eat the pellets I have.

just a thought, mush up some guppies and soak the pellets in the mush.

You could try frozen bloodworms or frozen brine shrimp. Was he fed strictly feeders before you got him? There are some great tips/tricks on weening fish off of live food. Just search.

No he was fed pellets, he all the sudden just stopped eating.

you need to at least start with the same exact pellets he is used to... that might help if you arent doing so already

I added some dithirs when I got my GTs because they wouldn't eat much, now that they see the dithirs going nuts over the food I put in the tank they started to eat as well.

Sometimes soaking the pellets in garlic extract can help.

The tank is a 55, he has paired with another GT and they have spawned several times. The female will eat the pellets out of my hand but the male just won't touch em.
