I am glad to inform you that Puntius denisonii- the most beautiful ornamental fish of the Western Ghats of India popularly known as "Miss Kerala" - could be successfully bred under captive conditions under the leadership of Dr. T.V.Anna Mercy, Professor, College of Fisheries, Kerala Agricultural University, Panangad, Cochin, 682506, Kerala, India. The other team members are Mr. Sajan S and Mr. Bony Joseph. This was carried out under a research project financed by Marine Products Export Development Authority, Cochin.
