Here's the situation, I put my two 3" Denisonii barbs down in my breeding system to figure who was ripping up plants in my 75 about a month ago and then about a week after them being in the system I took them to the LFS that I work at to put them up for sell. Well on Monday I went down to feed my Golden Abino Bristlenose babies and there was this strange looking little fish (3/4" long), kinda silver with black vertical stripes on it's body and a little ting of red on the tip of it's dorsal fine. I had no idea how it got there and there was only one in the tank, well today I went down to clean the sponge in the resevoir and there were 12 more in there ranging from 3/4" to little tiny fry. I just identified the fry as Puntius Denisoii (Denisonii Barb, Roseline Shark) which I don't understand why the bred down there in a 20H seeing that everything I have found on them said that there is no known tank breeding for them. Needless to say I am bringing them back home and see if they do it again.

Here is my question, Has anyone on here bred these guys? I

I'm sad to say on one hand that the fry are not Roselines but on the other hand they are Filamentous. Guess either way I'm happy to have gotten fry but I sold the set of three Filamentous adults. I now will have to have my boss order more Filamentous so I can raise up another breeding pair. I plan on keeping all of the babies that I have and mixing them in with the newbies and see how many breeders I get.
