Pup housing?

Hi,
I'm planning on breeding motoros. It may take a while because both of mine are only 7".

The tank mates are 1 seven inch silver arowana who likes to keep some space in-between him and the rays.

If I do get (a) Pup/s , Do I need to have their own tank, or can I keep them with their parents? Both of them happen to be very peaceful.

I bought a 65 gallon acrylic tank that has a overflow made on the back with bio media and it drains right back into the pond. It pumps the pond water into it and drain right back in. So it uses the same water they were born in. I can try to post a pic later.

Firemedic, I have a simmilar tub thing I use to raise my fighting fish fry. It's about 4' long, 2' wide, and about 8' deep. If I hook it up to my main system, do you think it'll work?

Definitely will need a new tank, aros may pick on smaller rays, and the parents themselves might kill the pups by accident.

Those are good reasons. I think I'll go through with the plastic tub/ kiddy pool idea if I'm ever lucky enough to get pups.
