I have mentioned my filters before and im interested in new designs and the theory behind them etc.
i know DB (amongst others) has made some great filters as well as many others so i thought i would post a picture of my pup tank.
I dont have many in there atm. the litters i have are generally small (usually not more than 4). i expect this is due to the small size of the parents. only three in the last litter. they were born on 14.10.15 and are now happily eating pellets.

i am always keen to know how other peoples water setups work and how they look after there rays. Pups are a particular sticking point for some especially getting them past the first few months so heres mine. ....

Looking great mate. One of my last litter has just started taking pellets this week. He is nearly 5 months old now!! Been THE toughest pups I hav had, absolute nightmare feeder!!

cheers jim.
congrats on getting it onto pellets !
they can be a pain. the main problem i have myself is rushing them. go too quick and its hard to tell if some are eating or not as they just mouth the food and spit it out.
i will look out for a thread on the little guy ;-)

They are just normal acrylic tubes that I sealed top and bottom. I have tube running (1) K1, (2) Marine Pure spheres, and (3) spheres plus bakki rods. They run on normal air like a reactor. I tried doing one for Purigen but ended up in failure. I also have a sponge tower (stocked vertically). intention was extra filter media as I don't have a sump. most of these were ideas on the net.

The one beside the 2217 is an old odysea canister filter that I gutted for parts. The 2217 feeds water on the odysea - extra media capacity.

It's not that difficult to do.
