PUPS BORN THIS MORNING (Motoro)

Had two female pups born this morning. About 2" to 2 1/2" round. Doing well. Got them into their own tank (feeding off the moms tank water)
One was born with its front part of the disk not comp formed, but its not as bad as most batman rays, so hopfully it will do well.

This is the first litter from the mom. She is doing well.
Pups are hanging out, will be leaving them alone for awhile so they can relax. They still have some sand stuck to them, but Im sure when they start swimming around more, that will come off..

Sorry for the crappy pics. Still need to wipe down the outside of the tank

Ya, dad is still in the tank with her.. He tried to mess with one of the pups, but so far has left mom alone. Ill put the divider in if he starts to mess with her. Id like to give her some time to rest if I can. But so far, he has not tried to mess with mom, just was on top of one of the pups when I came into the living room and noticed they were there.. Now the pups are in their own tank and can relax..

did you watch her give birth? if not, i bet he already got mom again. usually happens right then.

No, I missed the birth. Got home at 4:30am this morning from work, there were no pups then, but wife got up at 8am and noticed them in there, so I got up and got to work on their setup.. He may have gotten her already..If he did, she gave it up easy, not a mark on her.. So who knows..

Congrats! How big is the mom? The pups seem really small.

Are the parents both pure motoro? The pups have a lot of perimeter spotting which is more common to marbles. Congrats, it will never get old having pups.
