Congrats! Why do you hold them?

Are they not capable of stinging at such a young age?
 
they have stingers but i dont think they know to attempt to sting after only an hour after birth

Not true so be careful, they are born with all the knowledge they will ever need to know.

It usually takes a lot to make a ray sting, usually the reaction is triggered by something pushing down from above. Holding them from below like that is a bit safer though I wouldnt risk it!

Congrats and they look great BTW! LoL they are twice as big as my new hystrix! I wouldnt be surprised if my hystrix is less then a month old! :ROFL:

They really look good, but i wish it would have waited till tomorrow becasue that was my guess, December 12th...lol

yea my pups were real skittish when born and would dart off for no reason, so do be careful. These hystrix could have been born at 2" so they might be between 1-4 months possibly.
