Pura Complete

Has anyone used Pura Complete? I was looking for Purigen and they recommended this instead. I'm going to give it a try in one of my 2217's, how is it? Thanks

FYI - The Pura Complete brought my Nitrates from 20 to 0 overnight (0 Nitrites all the time). Water is very clear now, seems like good stuff.

I don't use Pura Complete, but I do use the regular pure (for phosphorous only) and keeps them at 0 in my planted and brackish tanks. I replace it every other month.

I've never heard of this stuff, sounds interesting though. It sounds like this could help with my brown algae problem. Do you just use it in a media bag? Any idea how often you have to replace it?

The Pura comes with a media bag and last 3-6 months depending on the bioload. I think the Purigen by Seachem can be reused over and over again by regenerating it with bleach. The brown algae comes from Diatoms, mine went away after 6-8 weeks with out using the Pura or Purigen, not sure if it will take it out. You can find all the info via the Web..

Thanks. I have had my brown algae for about 3 months or so.
