So I purchased a used canister from a friend that had it running for only 2 months brand new , it’s rated for. A 75 gallon so I want to add it to my 110 gallon as a backups/extra filtration until I have my tank for my sump, currently I have 2 canisters on there one for 75 gallon and a 25 gallon

I got a good deal he had disconnected it about 3 weeks ago and left water in it, it came from saltwater tank that was very very very low stocked,,,

Should I clean it in tank water and add it to the tank like that, and let it run with the 2 other filters, Will it cause me any issues with cycling , it will be across the tank from the other canister and the input /output are set up in a way to constantly keep the water moving

I would rinse it well with tap water to remove any salt from the filter and filter material. Then you will be good to go. It should not interfere with your cycling.

Thanks , I boiled it all down, my tank was already cycled anyway, and I took some cycled media(biomax ceramic pond rings that were in a cycled filter and added it too,)

In terms of messing up my cycle, I should have worded it properly . Will it affect or alter my already cycled tank in a negative way while the filter builds enough bacteria to help with filtration

An additional clean or new filter will not hurt or negatively affect or alter your already cycled tank.
