Pure black melano betta rare?

I don't know if they are rare or not, but that is gorgeous. I would have bought it for my daughter if I saw it.

I use to think spending that kinda money on a betta was crazy... but now I know I'm crazay spending much more then that on other species that are a lot more expensive to also maintain and not even breedable in captivity ( as of yet at least!) >.< now.. when our cujo ( he's like 4-5yrs now) passes away I'm not even gonna look at the next price tag on a betta if I like it.
it's not really rare, but that is a high quality fish so they might think they can get more money out of the people who want it really bad.
