Can anyone point me in the direction of getting an O2 tank ? Was considering shipping fishes and needed one so just wanted to see if anyone have one locally up for grabs that has a regulator and hose. Not looking for a huge cylinder probably your standard scuba diving cylinder should be good.

Thanks!

You can rent one at a welding supply store, including the regulator. Won't do much good to buy one since you'll have to trade in an empty for a full tank. Initial tank/regulator rental here is 16 bucks with an 8 dollar charge for the O2.
Don't waste your time buying any available medical-grade tank. You can't get those refilled without a doctor's prescription.

You can check with Air Gas. There should be one local to your area. Be careful when you are trying to buy a tank. Certain tanks are company owned and can't be sold. Also, certain places also only fill there own tanks and there is a inspection charge too. Just call up your local welding gas supply place and they can tell you about it.

thanks for the input, ill look into renting.

Anyone locally know any weld supply store that I can rent one from in San Jose, California?

Alternatively, you could use an oxygen concentrator. They output around 90% O2 and achieve peak output after being run for awhile. They're like reverse osmosis but for air. You also don't have to deal with high pressure or regulators. The fire hazard is basically gone when you turn it off while the O2 tank is still dangerous.

I have one but I live in Sacramento.

I should add that while you technically need a prescription to buy one, you can find places that sell them online and don't check. Also, you can get used ones.
