If they are barely 1" I think even the smallest Bio-Gold pellets are still a little too big. I feed Omega One Color flakes & Veggie flakes and Omega One Marine Pellets. You could treat with tiney pieces of shrimp, chopped earth worms & brine shrimp. At this size I still feed three times a day, Once they hit about 2" twice a day feedings is enough IMO. If your fish is a male with regular weekly water changes and a good diet you could expect an inch or possably more a month for the first 8, 9 months and could concivabley be looking at a 10 to 12" fish by the end of the first year. Just don't over feed it to get accelerated growth, that IMO leads to problems later on down the road, once the fish is about 4-5" just feed once a day. What size tank are you keeping them in?
