alright, with the new task of keeping many discus - i got some questions.....
the setup:
265gal w/ 3 fx5's running for filtration - 100% ceramic rings right now
stock list: 37 discus and 200+ dithers
nitrates: approx 5-10ppm out of the tap
, and about 30ppm on average
so the questions:
- will loading 1 of the fx5's with 1-2 liters (however much it can hold) of purigen take me down into the 0-10 range for nitrates?
- with that much purigen - am i looking at at least 1-2 months between recharges?
- given i have some new driftwood which will definitely leech tannins - will that dramatically shorten the purigen use time?
