Purigen gets HOT?!

Recharging two purigen bags in 50/50 bleach/water solution. I go to check it, move em around, and it's warm. REAL warm. Anybody else notice anything like that before?

Never picked the bag up and held it but I assume it's part of the chemical reaction between the bleach and the purigen
