purigen in phosban Sprung reactor

anybody do this and did you have to restraint the beads due to size somehow please advise as I would like to try this .thanks in advance.

I have three phosban reactors in a chain on my reef. First one has Matrix Carbon, second is GFO, third is purigen. It has the sponge to help keep media in it, but a finer pad or lower flow may be needed if the pump you are using pushes media out.

Thanks I appreciate your advice I was going to use a aquaclear pump ,smaller size on the larger Phosban 550 reactor.

That should be fine. I think I have some floss on top of the purigen under the foam to keep it in.
