Does purigen remove essentials minerals from the water that can effect an arowanas well being ?

The reason I ask is I know that carbon can remove minerals from the water and is a no no for use with arowanas. I use Prime and geo liquid arowana for the arowana tanks and have never had an issue. I have been using purigen for years with no problems, but never used in my arowana tanks.

Do you think it is safe to use with arowanas ?

from what i know the answer would simply put be no it would leave minerals in the water . purigen is designed to remove organic compounds (tannins nitrites nitrates ammonia) while essential minerals would be left. this is why many people use it instead of carbon in tanks with very sensitive fish who need the minerals in the water but cant tolerate the organics

in short yes it is completely safe for arowanas
