I just used it for the first time and I love it! :headbang2 My question is I bought some water conditioner from Petsmart (:screwy: ) and its made by Top Fin, it doesnt say anything about slime coat on it, and I'm wondering if this stuff is going to negatively affect my Purigen, the product is simply called "Tap water dechlorinator". Any advice will be appreciated.

You can use any dechlorinator you want to take the bad stuff out of your water. Its when recharging your purigen that you have to steer clear of slime coat product. Also see this thread :grinno: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45408&highlight=purigen

I wouldn't use the Topfin product to recharge your purigen, or in your tank. The slime coat gets in the micrpores of the product rendering it useless. Use Prime, Amquel, or Kent Ammonia Detox.
