Renerated my purigen, followed the directions to a T. Purigen turned red. Does anybody know if its still effective?

When I regerated my purigen it turned red instead of white, wondering if its still good or if I should replace it.
I would replace it. Better safe than sorry. There are alot of online sites that sell purigen real cheap.
You used bleach with no additives at all? I would email seachem, they are really good about customer service and would know much better than any of us.

Because Purigen readily removes color bodies from the water, it's quite possible that it picked up something that has actually caused the resin to become stained.
