I put a bag of Purigen in my Aquaclear 110 a few months ago and now its time to recharge.
I want some good opinions on this. My question is should I just replace it or recharge it, once recharged does it work just as well when it is new?
I have no problem recharging it seems fairly simple.

Just recharge it according to the directions, it should work just as well as when new.

Thanks. I'd rather not waste any money but was curious if its use degraded over time. Ill be recharging it this weekend.

Purigen can be recharged multiple times before losing its effectiveness though there are some variables that can affect it.

Be sure to follow the recharge instructions on the product including the type bleach to use and the correct dechlorinator product as well.

If you don't have the original package, check Seachem's website for the tutorial. The only thing recommended differently on the website is to use a buffer product as the final treatment but I'm not sure that is still true and necessary.

Are you using safe or prime to dechlorinate ? Check for the instructions because it's changed once or twice
