Purigen results.

I've been running this stuff in my 125 for 2 years now and can't say enough good about it. Very clear water and steady ya er parameters. This is the 125 with a few days of running 2 bags of new purigen.



I just started running it in my 220 because I had some tannins leaching from my driftwood that were turning my water brown. So I'm running 3 bags of it in the 220 now.

How low did it keep your nitrates?
How often were you doing water changes?
How often did you clean the purigen?

We need to know specifics. What where you running before, if water change schedule changes, how old is your test kit, any significant changes in nitrates after changing to purigen and on and on

My nitrates on the 125 stayed steady at 10 or under. I do a 80% water change once a week. I clean the purigen every 3 months and replace after the 3rd recharge of purigen. My test kit is 2 year old now with all the bottles expiring in 2017. Never tested the Tank without running the stuff. Have always used it. So I don't know how the nitrates would go if not using it. I clean the Fx-6 every 3 weeks and the Aquaclear 110s at the same intervals.
