i found my purno dead today,to say im fed up would be a understatement, one of my knife fish died and i dident notice and it polluted my water witch killed my purno,i feel like selling up.

I'm very sorry for your loss, I know how it is. I had my TSN die and pollute the water killing my 3 12"+ Oscars and my Jag.

I've been having a hell of a time with fish anyway, lost my Pikerel, some baby cats and two sturgeon... Can't figure out why I keep having the losses... not making me feel real good about my fish keeping anymore...

So I feel ya, Don't give up though. Now you have more room and you could try different fish! :)

Sorry for your loss but i dont get it... Your knife died, and it polluted the water enought to where your purno. How did you not notice that the knife died? How long did it sit dead in the tank? Sorry for being harsh i just dont see how you didnt notice a fish died and then it rotted and kill another fish?

what happend is the knife lived in a big fake ship and you dident see him much but iv also been ill so for the last few days iv just been going down the fish house and droping the food in,so it`s my fault for not checking on them.

It only takes on night (the time from when you fall asleep to when you wake up) for a large dead fish to pollute the tank. One 16" TSN polluted my 300g in a matter of hours (like 6 hours...) with an fx5 AND two Emperor 400s running

So its quiet easy to understand... and it sucks horribly... When theres really nothing you could have done...

Hope you start to feel better soon..

Wow, i didnt realized how quickly the water would spoil with a big dead fish. I would think it would be longer than that.
