"Purple Passion Catfish" ???? ID this fish!

was at my lfs today and saw a 3-4" catfish labeled "Purple Passion Catfish." Googled it and can't find a single reference to that name. It was a cool little fish, and had a long anal fin like a knife fish or Wels. It was always on the move so I couldn't get a great picture, but I think you can get the idea. Anyone know what this fish is?

nah I don't think so, this guy had a more rounded nose that any sheath I've seen. I googled and didn't find any variety that looks like this guy. I could be wrong

You think so? every pic I find of them they almost have a beak like a clown knife, but this guy has a really rounded nose like a wels.

nah not a glass but I can see how the blurry picture might look like that. he was swimming constantly and i couldn't get a decent pic

I might go back tomorrow to try to get a better picture

Probably one of the silurid cats but not sure on exact ID.

I was thinking krypoperus cryptopterus does look pretty close

Whatever it is someone needs to come up with a better trade name.Purple Passion sounds too much like a bottle of cheap rot gut or a washed up old porn star.
