I'm have some trouble finding information on the purple stop gudgeon. Any information or links to help me learn more about this fish would be great.

It's an aussie native - quite pretty, i saw one in my lfs on the weekend actually.

i have one myself, bout 12 cm. i find that they r pigs and just eat eat eat, they r a very nice fish, i heard na rumor how to tell the sex of them.
the males have 3 red stripes on the face on both sides, and the females has 4 on both sides, therefore females are hard to come by in the trade for some reason. but its just a rumor i heard.

it depends on your fish a lot with these. some have been active for me others not. some have also been really nasty.. and others not.

Yeah my gudgeon is very active and one of the biggest pigs I've kept. He's also one of the fastest growing fish I have. He's grown about 1 1/2-2" in 2 months.
