Hello
NOT my tank its my brother in laws tank. We went last weekend to beach to collect feather dusters (found clinging to old wood on piers) -and other inverts we find by shallows 5 feet and less .

Either way found his purple tang pretty took few pics. Tank is 180 -ETS skimmer and powerheads- canister with chemi pure-purigen-polyfilter pad and UV.
Water changes are real seawater (Key west) tank is 8 yrs old .

Tank is also directly across from big window which gives tank lots sun . It does get algae on glass but he cleaned it prior to pic lol.
The inverts seem to like it

nice fishes and tank you got there:)

Its my brother in laws but I have contributed to it with a grand collection of 3 feather dusters :D.

I had a 55 gallon fowler tank few yrs back which was big algae mess . Suspect if I collected water from Key west unlimited pristine water would prevail now .

thanks

tell your B-I-L good luck, i've been through a couple of these and they all turn into serious a-holes

I am glad you said that. The tang is 3 months old and has killed 1 inch shrimps (not sure of type as caught by beach) though most hide in rock area.

Has killed a starfish and plucked a feather duster bald . He thought that the sunlight the tank gets through the day time puts him in bad mood .

Though nothing he can do about that as the tank thrives with it. Guess its just the tang
