PURPLE WOLF FISH QUESTION

So my local lfs has had a purple wolf fish since the summer. They've sold every hoplias and ery they had except for this guy. Im thinking because hes not very active. Now they offering him to me for $25 , I'm seriously considering it. Hes had his own tank in the lfs so i dnt know why he's not tha active. Any ideas or are these guys normally that way?

$25 is a good price. They usually come in at 3-4 inches. Probably not active because of being in a lfs tank. But should be more active in an established tank with enough space. They will become like other wolves, meaning not active and lazy, when fed daily and stressed out. Most of the time of fed 2-3 times per week it'll be active and no oversized tankmates. Most of the time will be active around feeding time and be lying around otherwise. But will be bolder once larger too. But if u want an active fish moving back and forth them u might be a bit disappointed.

You guys are right, when i had my ery ery he would just be act evry other day when hungry. Until my aro started becoming more aggressive. Now my aro is in her bigger tank so this dude might work well 50. Problably wait till after xmas, ill post some pics.
