I need to prop up a wobbly piece of wood so i thought i could use a pipe and it could become a cave as well for when i get a knife fish, i bought a foot length of black abs pipe 4'' is that ok for my fish tank after i soak it in 20:1 bleach solution and then resoak in tapwater

It may float. IIRC, the black stuff does.

so the chances are that i will have to silicone it the tank bottom. Dont really want to have to do that but i may have to stick one of my stumps down to stop it toppling over.

Why not just use a rock?

the pipe is better than a rock as it will serve two purposes one holding the wood and secondly be a cave
