My growouts are showing good signs of putitora. See the blue and pink? What I don't see yet is the pointed sloped head. Probably still too small.

How about send me some for a personal inspection? :naughty:

hmm i doubt they are putitoras, as the snout is short and the body is not compressed enough, the dorsals are not tall.

the caudal fin usually have a reddish tint and kinda black border

but they seem to be getting some neat colors

niiice numbers too

Might be younger to tell but seems like yours have bigger eyes..

ey Ken :D did u look close enough? i believe i actually got two different sp in my batch. and since u got so many more than me, i would guess there are a couple oddballs in there . one of mine has a long enough snout that i believe is putitora, while the others are... unknown but definitely full of potentials!

Yes, I notice there are different ones in the batch. Some are long/skinny with the mouth closer to the bottom. They are smaller. I believe you are right these are possible putitora. The larger ones I don't know what they are. I think I see a third type in the batch but hard to tell because they swim extremely fast.
I'm thinking in a months time these growout are ready for the pond outside. The current ten outside are already 10" only two months. Hope they don't eat the little guys. It's fun to growout fish to see what you get don't you think?

Lucky you who have a pond to grow them out so quick xD it took me forever to grew mine from 2" . biggest at around 14-15" . But these are definitely worth the wait. It is definitely very satisfying when I can finally net them from the little growout tank into the 180g and into the 360g. from a little minnow into arguably the most graceful looking fish.
