Alright guys, I've got 3 Orinos about 3.5" in my 125 growout. I just picked up 6 Mono/Ocell at about 2" to 2.5" from the lfs today, Well i throw em in the tank, and the Orinos just start to FN hammer em like they're feeders,so i put a divider in the tank. So how long before I should try and put them together again? Will they ever catch up in size? Any suggestions?

monos grow quicker so they should catch up quick. my 6" orinos pick on my 8"+ monos, so go figure. orinos are mean little bastards

Yeah, I fed the Orinos a bunch of shrimp right before i released the fish...but that didn't stop em. I figured they'd be ok since they're so close in size, but damn the Orinos are ROWDY! they would have killed them for sure. Man, i always used to wonder how the hell you guys could tell the difference between species at such a small size, I used to think they all looked the same...but now that they are in the same tank together i can see the differences easily. Seems like the MOno/Ocell have a way longer snout, or bottom lip, and they don't seem as stocky as the Orinos. Man MFK is the Sh#$, love this website, So much info, all you guys got such bada$$ setups/fish...J, you da man! I hope to have a setup like yours one day!channarox;3764573; said:
