Anyone out any cichlids or anything outside for the summer my lfs owner puts his angel babies outside for a few months and they literally get huge. Says they feed all day long from all the bugs landing on the water. Any suggestions on what I could put outside ?

I currently have a bunch of gars, one of my motoro stingrays, a datnoid and a couple others as well outside.

I have had most of them outside for around a month, some of the gars a little longer than that.

No issues, though I did get a cool spell where the water temp dropped down to 60F. Everyone came through that fine.

I have kept many cichlids outside for the summer in Wisconsin.
But some have been successful, some not, and all it took was 1 cold night to do some in.
Some that didn't work for me were pearsei, and bocourti.
Cichlids that did work for me were those from southern Brazil like Geo braziliensus, and those from Uruguay like Gymnogeophagus, Australoheros, and that countries Crenicichla.
Tilapia also did well.
Here are some pics.
