I have a 125 gallon tank (72x18") on an iron stand and I want to put two 40 gallon breeders (36x18") on the lower part of the stand. My only concern is that where the two tanks meet will be in the center of the stand, and there is not really any support there. I'm thinking that because of this the stand might bow in the center. Does anyone have any experience with anything like this? Thanks in advance for any replies!

Yes I have found this to be the case with a 55g iron stand and two 20g on the bottom. My concern is the added pressure at the top of the two tanks from leaning against each other. Just add some support you should be able to fab up some wood 2x4s to add the needed support.

That's kind of what I was thinking, except I was thinking of putting a sheet of plywood on the bottom of the stand. 2x4's sound like a better (stronger) idea though.
