Well it seems my Temensis have become really picky as of late and don't hardly want to eat frozen at all, seems weird because they loved it a week ago! Anyways I'm gonna try the live feeder program... hopefully they grow like weeds as it seems the consensus from the live food discussion thread had overwhelming support for live food. How often do you guys feed live? Is it a live feeding every day or other day? I want my bass to put on some size as there is going to be a big move from their 75 to my 220 in about a month's time.

I feed live to my fish maybe once a week, definately brings out great colour and growth.
What type of live were you going to feed with?

I tried live ghost shrimp but they were a little bit intimidated by those. I was thinking of going with the ole standby...guppies. Probably from there rosey reds and eventually to fish hatchery shiners...

Fed them guppies tonight and they really came alive! Especially my big guy whose kinda just become blah when it comes to eating, brought the devil out in him! I'm gonna try to incorporate more live food in their diets, I'm just worried they're going to only want live and ignore the frozen stuff. I'm unable to go to the LFS everyday and I don't have room for a feeder tank right now...

don't worry about getting your tem to grow...lol...pretty soon your gonna post a thread on wanting him to stop growing...hahahahaha...true monsters!!!gl

I'm gonna pick up some more feeders today, might try and do feeders on the weekends and evenings my brother works (he works at our LFS), otherwise I'll try to feed frozen and hope they'll eat it, otherwise they'll be without food for a day or so, but it seems this morning they still haven't fully digested the feeders they had from last night. AWESOME temensis by the way!!! Still my favorite pbass!!

my old tems were like that sometimes...would suddenly stop eating non live.
they stopped this once i did a water change.

a continuous live program is great though.

I'm gonna go for continuous live until they get some size on them, then I want to incorporate frozen/pellets if I can with supplemental live feedings probably on a bi-weekly basis...
