I have a 9-10 IT and was wondering how big my 3 inch Thin bars need to get before they can co-habitate in my upcoming 120 high...48"x18"x30"T....They seem a little too large to be eaten right now but its close! Not looking for guarantees...just advice. Thanks!

How long would you grow the thin bars for??

U can add the ntt now. I have some 12 inch ITs in same tank as 3 inch thinbars and 3 inch IT. No probs at all.

Thanks! My indo is a bit agressive towards some....It chased my aro out of the tank and initially squared off with my blood parrot before the parrot woke up and realized it has the mouth of a guppy! The Indo seems like he could suck them up! Do your little guys hide or do they swim together?? got any pics??

You should try it but monitor closely. I added tiger barbs with my dats that were 3/4 the size of my dats. They all got killed but not eaten as they couldn't be swallowed

thanks! I have the two little guys with 5 tiger barbs now. They ignor each other. Will the small dats interact with the big indo or will they hide??

U can search my old threads for pics.

my NTTs sometimes swim alone , or in a group. Sometimes they stay in the corner. Behaviour is likely to become more active once they get a lot bigger.

+1. I have a few 6-7" indo dats in with one baby indo (less than an inch) and the big dats have never chased or tried to bite the little guy.

add them in and watch closely it might work it might not.. you never know until you try

i remember seeing a pic of a lil thinbar like 2" in with like a 12"+ indo.. .so ya, it works sometimes ._. right now i have a 20" with 9" ._.
