I got it past the 3 ridges but it says to go 2"...It's really hard..
What should I do? My hands are really hurting now with all the pushing and twisting..

and when i'm moving on to the tubing that goes to the pump part..i'm afraid i'll break it off with the force i'm putting..

that comment could possibly be offensive to girls..

how far did you get yours?

I wedged the hose all the way in until it couldn't go anymore. If you're concerned about the hose slipping out then go get some metal clamps from Home Depot to clamp the hose to the inlet. The plastic clips that come with the filter do not offer you much clamping force. Well if you're a girl then I'm sure you can ask a man to do it for you if you got weak and soft hands. Otherwise, man up and stop whining about your girly hands being sore.j/k What kind of a man are you if you have soft girly hands.:D

i didn't want to get it wet or anything..i tried it dry for 30minutes and got it up to a inch or so..and clamped it with the clips it came with.
will i be able to un-clip it and push it down even further?

we dont know, will you? proboably not considering your already complaining about your hurty hands.

Dump the tubing that was supplied with the XP3 and use corrugated tubing from a Fluval 404. Use plastic clamps to secure.

you could run hot water over the hosing, this will make it really flexible and then it will go on really easy. once it cools it will be just as hard as when you started. you can run it under cold water to speed the cooling

how long should I put hot water?
do I boil it or just pour hot water on the tubing for a few seconds?
