putting two mbu puffers together

i asked this quesiton over in the puffer section as well ithough id post here since tracffic is a bit more here

i currently have a mbu, getting another this sat. i have a tank i can put the 2nd one in but i was wondering if anyone here has had actual experience in housing them together. id like to keep them both together if possible.

Best to keep them singly.
Save your money for food and future upgrading tank for a 2 feets puffer fish.

I kept my pair together from the 150 gal when I first got them, through the 275 gal and 450 gal, and they remained together in the 650 gal.

I got lucky with this pair. I've had other mbu pairs that needed to be separated at some point in their development.

I see mbu are the best puffers w other.fish in general are.they just aggressive towards their own species?

I believe it's due to their formidable hardware to cause serious injuries (like piranhas) - most will try to keep them separated.

Wouldn't mind keeping wolf and ATFs with others as gashes and slashes can heal most of the time. Not the case with puffers and piranhas where a simple bite (even when they are chasing for food) can take chunks outta the other fish.
