I know many have used PVC for their DIY and such but was wondering are ABS safe as well? Also whats the difference between the two?

Never have used abs, so therefore Cannot help in this way but why not just use PVC, its cheaper and if everybody uses it then why not...but the ABS looks the same and it can withstand lots of abuse......
