PVC or abs plumbing?

PVC needs the PVC solvent/cement to assemble the parts properly. ABS needs ABS solvent cement to assemble the parts properly.

I think most people use PVC as it comes in various sizes.

ABS is designed for drain plumbing only, while PVC comes in pressure-rated or DWV (Drain, Waste, and Vent) piping.

The advantages of ABS are lighter weight, easier cutting, more rigidity, and stronger impact resistance.

PVC is generally cheaper, but that can vary. PVC also comes in a wider variety of sizes. ABS comes in 1.5", 2", 3", 4", and 6". PVC is commonly available in .5", .75", 1", 1.25", 1.5", 2", 3", 4", 5", 6" 8" and larger sizes, although DWV pipe and fittings are only available in the same sizes as ABS.

Both are non-toxic and easy to glue using ABS or PVC cement.
