Pvc Or Abs

Does it matter what i use Pvc Or Abs
Also is there a certain type of glue to use on it
Here is what im doing.
I was thinking of building a canister filter
i got some ideas for doing it
a few sketches but im wondering if its even possible to do
also what size would i need to go
im thinking of using a 16 litre bucket and i have a pump
another question is my pump is rated for 1750 gph my tank is 135 Gallon and the head is 3 to 4 feet

i think pvc is suppose to be better, i used ABS for my overflow, but i heard you shouldn't because it leeches stuff into the water, but it worked fine for me. And yes you do need special glue it should be right with all the PVC pipe and couplings at the hardware srore, just PVC glue

the reason im asking is because it seems hard to find here
none of the hardware stores seem to carry much

Flip your media around and use a pre-filter, scrubbies around pump.

Input on top hitting a drip plate.

Do you have a plumbing supply house around? or look for a commercial plumber and see if they have some scrap they'll sell to you.

all the media is going to have their own drip system
im using the bottom 4" of buckets as cartridges (drilling holes in each)
i was going to put aquaclear biomax down around the pump
but i can put that up where the scrubbies are now
ive also tried comercial plumbers and they all seem to use ABS they say its cheaper
