What do you guys use to cover up your pvc overflow intake so fish don't get sucked in?

I made these

This is the setup I've got on mine, the water enters the larger pipe in 3 different areas reducing the "suck" at any one point.

I just rubberbanded pieces of mesh screen used for windows over the intake lol

I used to do this, but now get a small length of PVC pipe of the same diameter (20mm length will do) and cut it lengthwise so it can be opened - ie like a C
It makes a great clip since rubber perishes over time. Just replace the rubberband with this clip.

I just used a piece of an old net breeder and siliconed it around the end.

fish dance, can you get a pic? i dont think im exactly sure of what your talking about.

lYeah I wouldnt mind seeing what your talking about too Fishdance.

I actuall saw one of my silver dollars almost get sucked down the intake today I LMAO but it wouldnt be funny if it happened to my jardini...

i have a side mounted overflow. and i cut in a shower drain. works great.

I can't find the pictures of my overflows, but this is what I had to work with.

Before I painted the overflows, I removed the two 90's as an assembly. I replaced that netting with black plastic netting. I placed a small square of the netting on a piece of glass, glued the lip of one of the 90's and then set it on the netting. When it was dry, I removed it from the glass and trimmed the net with a razor blade. When I painted it, the netting blended away and is almost invisible.
