I'm considering make a pair of overflows to go with the sump I'm getting. Tank is a 150 tall 48x24x30 and I want to know what size to make them or if the HOB's are any good. I can get a complete sump, overflow, quiet one 400HH, all hoses for ~600 which would give me ~5 times turnover or I can get just the Sump build my overflows and buy a Mag Drive 2400 ~550. I would prefer to use PVC to connect everything anyways. Now what size of PVC overflows would be most effecient? I stopped by menards and looked at the PVC and 1.25 and 1.5" PVC looks kind of large anyone have picks of theirs in the tank? Also I would hook both of them together at the tee then have a tee in the middle to go down to my sump where it would get divided into 2 1" lines to the sump as that is what the sump has going into it. Sump will be a CPR CR3000. Pump will be external as it is already drilled for the bulkhead out. Head will be between 4.5-5'. what does everyone think? and thanks in advance.
