PVC questions!

I want to put pvc piping in my tank soon and i would like to know whats steps should i follow before putting it in? Also what paint is safe to put in the tank? do i put any glue on te elbows? sorry i am newb to diy projects.

I don't know anything about the paint but as far as pvc I usually just rinse it off, then put it together the way I want it in the tank, then disassemble it and use primer then pvc glue it all back together. Then I let it sit overnight just to be safe, perform a final rinse and install it. Hope that helped.
 
I agree with the above.
 
I would use the same silicone that is used on fish tanks. You can't go wrong there. Just let it dry completely. But the pieces should stay together without glue just fine. That is unless your fish know how to pull them apart.

if youre going to pvc glue or paint the pipe, you will need to let it completely cure before adding it to your tank.

pvc glue will be the best thing to secure the PVC
as far as paint, cant go wrong with krylon fusion.
