Hey guys...i'm thinking of building a plywood/pvc pond with a 1" think acrylic viewing window...the plan is make the plywood frame and line it with 1/4 inch pvc sheeting for waterproofing...and bolt the acrylic to the whole thing...

the question is...will the pvc cement fuse the acrylic to the pvc? will acrylic solvent fuse them together? or should i silicone it to the pvc?

Thanks guys

All of the above. Silicone will allow for servicing in the future (hopefully it will never come to that). It will also be the easiest to work with. PVC glue has solids/filler in it to fill in any small gaps but will be tricky to work with. You will have to work fast (and have a bunch of extra hands). The acrylic solvent doesn't have any filler in it but will be easier to work with than the PVC cement. It is going to be near impossible to prevent gaps because the 1/4" sheeting is so flexible and will take the shape of the plywood.
