hoffers tropic life pets.... in wisconsin. thats why i said thats probably a 3 hr trip or so. i dont know where orland park is

Glass terrariums are good for pygmy chameleons if we are talking about Brookesia or Rhampoleon the pygmy leaf chamys. But thats not my main consern. What you must understend is how dificult these species can be to correctly mantain in captivity. Even very experienced guys can have serious trouble whit this critters because they are so delicate. Oh and they dont need Uv(a 2.o lamp is ideal). Even if some are able to keep them alive and even breed them , I recomend that you get more experience on herps before trying any cham species;)

I have to agree here.Chameleons need alot more focus than beards and such. Not very forgiving .Depends on your lifestyle, you will have to be very involved with these guys.If you were to do them I would try a different type in a big screen cage.Dont forget some of the most common herps out here can be the most fun, they are so common because they are likely hardy and just good pets.I would realy look into like a fire skink, oscillated skink, other skinks that I cant spell lol,you can make a little awesome desert habitat for viper geckos.Go to king snake.com to the lizard classifieds and search through whats on sale, then look up its care sheet and see its needs, size, and hardiness. We just dont want you to have a bad experience with something we already have.Feel free if you find something on their to ask though, check the frogs too,and other amphibians.:)

One more thing,Im not sure what herps you have right now or how many, but dont feel like these will be your last.Sounds like youve been severly attacked by the reptile bug and theirs no turning back now.Take your time, dont get overwhelmed with lizards if you know later you realy want snakes.By then you might have a hundred lizards and no room for snakes, lol.

i TYPED A MESSAGE HERE AND THEN WANTED IT DELETED,SOMEHOW IT WONT LET ME WITHOUT TYPING MORE CRAP SO IGNORE THIS.
