Pygmy puffer fish diet?

I got 4 of these guys for my 29 gallon tank. The tank is heavily planted. So far their eating brine shrimp, blood worms, mysis shrimp, market shrimp, and cichlid fry. Are there more foods they can eat? I heard they eat snails but what type?

One more thing, I have a free pesticide garden in my backyard. There are tons of spiders, crickets, grasshoppers, and ect. Would that be ok to feed the pygmy puffers?

I would stick to what you are already feeding as it sounds that they have a good diet. If you want, you could always let them pick out some trumpet snails. Mine love to hunt them.

Small pond, nuisance, ramshorn snails would be great, they'll attack the faces off.

My old pea puffer tank I threw a bunch of RedCherryShrimp, they leave the adults alone for the most part but they love shrimplets! The RCS breed so fast it's a self sustaining food source!
