Does anybody think that a pygopristi denticulatus can school with nattereri? They both are schooling fish, both piranhas.

I just sold 2 of my red bellies from my 110 gal so I only have 3 rbp and 2 denticulatus' and was wondering if I can put them both together.

Any thoughts?

you can mix pygos somewhat successfully its done quite alot. And the other species except for most serrasalmus can all be kept together if i recall correctly.

but can you mix Pygopristi and Pygocentrus...

you can mix anything with anything.. but the reds will end up eating any tank mate you put with them

Well so far my pleco is as old as my red bellies (2.5 years old) and has been with them ever since. Never any fin nips or anything. But they are both piranhas...

plecos arent as active and noticeable as a denticula would be in the tank. It's up to you their your fish but i hope you can get dents cheap because it wont be in there for long.
