Python got out for 20 days returns looking like sausage

Meyhen my ball python got out. She was missing for twenty days. Someone found her going to the steps for sun. She's okay except she scraped her neck....She also stuffed herself with a whole rat...

Glad to have her back and surprised we found her again. I was almost positive I was looking for a corpse because the house was deconed about three days before she got out and there were poisoned dead rats everywhere.

how big is she? I bet she was dehydrated badly after 20days. She must be a pretty nice size to eat a rat. my male is about 3 ft sadly(I want bigger) and im almost positive he could not eat a rat yet. well maybe a small rat, not the small ones from petco tho, to me it seems like the smalls should be mediums, the mediums should be larges and the larges should be XL: )

She's only about two foot long. I'm sure she was pretty dehydrated I'd never seen her soak before but she sure did for long period yesterday.

if its a male ball he aint going to get much bigger than 3 maybe 4ish ft

I have a male bp who was eating small rats at 6 months of age. You can pump those guys with big stuff as long as you don't feed them too often (every 10 days or so).

20 days isn't too long for a bp to go without food or water. Their metabolism is extremely efficient and 20 days of inactivity probably won't adversely a ball.

Thats awesome he managed to find food on his little adventure!
