Python-heavy duty upgrade?

I have a Python plumbed into my basement laundry tub that runs to my 340 upstairs. I used the Python at the faucet in the basement, ran about 45 ft of PVC then back to the Python for the last few feet. It seems all the pressure makes the fitting at the faucet leak. Does anyone have any upgrades/ideas to prevent this? Thanks.

Attach to a bathroom or kitchen sink that is near the tank.

That's unfortunately not an option. My wife agreed to the new tank in the new house if the sump and everything else was in the basement.

It's also very convenient to have everything hooked up and not have to clean a sink or put anything away.

If it's leaking at a threaded joint Teflon tape the heck out of them.
