Me father was at work today, where he found a small hatchling python which looked a bit weak, he brung it home cos his stupid work mate thought it was a brown snake and wanted to kill it. So it looks like its better now, so I'll prob release it near the scrub near mine, it's still fair small. Would I be wrong in assuming it's a coastal carpet python?

picture.php

if that pic is too dodgy, i can take more.

Bugger, tried to get better pics, but me camera died, Ill pick more batts up on monday. I'm fair sure it's a carpet python, those colours look like its in the range of colours a coastal python can get?

Kind of dark for a coastal I would be more inclined to think a bredli's. A better picture would help though.

I was thinknig a coastal, cos it don't look like the childrens pythons we get here, so I assumed carpet python would be the next step. The pics I could find on the net were all lighter colours though. Needless to say, cool snake. 8D I'll load more dodgy pics, just so youse can have a gander at the snake, I know how much the members on here love pics.
